Today’s blog is bought to you by the amount of comments that I got from my original “Personal Accountability – 08.26.2019″ blog post. I had a whopping 119 comments!!
Proof is below, I think I’m very proud of you all for inquiry on this underrated topic.
I wanted to return to this because you want to hear more about believing in yourself and how that relates to your goals, correct?
Not only that but you want to get better with what you feel passionately about.
NOT only that, you want to achieve your the highest success and be recognized that you do a fairly good job, if not, the only one to do an excellent job in your niche – at what others think is soo difficult to do.
Well first, I would love to continue the sequence of the original post. It asks us toward the end of it, “4 Words: Which one best describes…. you?” And then “What are you known for?”
Fail fast and start over!
If you are currently reading this, I’m 99.9% sure you are known for your ability to achieve in an outstanding nature. Whether that be volunteering at a charity, committing to the gym or giving yourself more down time. To you, it is crucial that you do an outstanding job, otherwise what it the point of throwing in your time and effort?
I feel you on that!
It is exactly how I stay on top of my goals. Let’s be honest, I do get the once in a blue moon days where I stay at home and binge watch Youtube. But for the most part I was never into half assing anything that had my name on it.
This doesn’t mean that I am trial and error proof. I set up projects and tend to add more food than I can chew. And then of course I realize my choice of timing was not fair to me.
Greatness is in your blood
You are destined for greatness and I truly believe that. You can achieve anything you imagine which is the greatest gift of life. I do whatever it takes. Meaning if I have to connect with a thousand people in a room as an introvert, I will do it. If I have to give up girls night, won’t sweat it. If I have to give up a full 8 hour sleep and grab 4 hours, so be it.
What are you deeply passionate about? Are you currently fulfilled?
Let me guess! You are here because you have the next million dollar niche blogging idea? No, not quite? Well, you are going to be convinced that blogging is the way to go no matter the niche you choose!
Firstly the top 3 niche markets that are the most lucrative in the blogging industry are:
You are welcome to explore more niche markets but thought I’d share the most popular subjects in case your idea aligns somewhere in these areas. And what I enjoy about these areas is that you can make the blog ideas about them as specific as you like. The beauty of blogging is that there’s no wrong or right.
When you think about blogging you probably think of the glamorized bloggers that make over $150k a year. There are plenty out there. We see them catching up with family, travelling, purchasing beautiful homes and vehicles. However, how do they really make the mula you ask?
You are here because you have at some point had a difficult time accomplishing your goals. Not only were you having a difficult time conquering but you realize that you are the problem.
Here are the 3 most common signs of self sabotage
You hold onto self limiting beliefs – What are your immediate thoughts when creating a new goal? Do you believe in your obstacles more than you believe in yourself?
You believe that life is happening to you, instead of happen through you – It is second nature for you to fall victim in your discussions with people and yourself.
You are in agreeance with your negative self talk. Even though you know these thoughts don’t empower, you have formed a belief around your worries.
There isn’t really a fourth point here but in order to be proactive, let’s dive into how you can better manage your self sabotage. When you have a couple minutes, sit down. Pick up a notebook or journal and jot down three obstacles that hinder you from achieving your goal.
Now that you have clarity to what it is holding you back, allow yourself a moment to understand that you are accountable for breathing life into those obstacles. Take this notebook as a tool to combat your months, weeks or even years of self sabotage. Here are exercises that you can begin to practice.
Monitor your thoughts;

Success Lesson: Four Pointers for Kicking Your Life into High Gear
But first… A secret key to understanding success.
Secret Key: Success isn’t just doing certain things, though we will certainly do certain things to become a certain kind of person. What kind of person you are is what determines your success in life. Yes, you can do right things and achieve a certain level of success, but not the kind of success I am talking about – true life success.
So what are my four tips? Here the are:
1. Become a person of Vision…
Vision is what causes us to carry out the mundane. Vision is what sees us through the dark days so we do not give up and settle for second best. Vision is the grand scheme that we relentlessly pursue. Vision is the goal we aim for. The best way to kick your life into high gear and begin to succeed in what you want to succeed in is to begin to become a person of vision. The successful person has a fully developed vision of their destination. So let me ask you a simple question:
Do YOU know where you are going?
And not only do you have a vision of where you are going, but is your vision fully developed? Now certainly we cannot know everything that will happen to us in the future, but we can develop the plan fully, allowing in our plan for a variety of contingency plans. “But Chris, that is a lot of work.” It is, but when you look across the board at people who have succeeded much, they are people who laid out most of their life and work before it happened. Life didn’t just happen to them. They didn’t just stumble into success. They planned for it and they created it.
The Tests of Vision
– Is it Clear? – Is it Concise? – Is it Inspiring? – Is it Achievable? – Is it Easy to Memorize?
Ask your self the questions above and let the answers begin to shape the vision you have for your life. The tighter and clearer the vision you have for your life, the sooner you will kick your life into high gear!
2. Become a person of Passion…
Passion. Mmmmm…. Passion. Passion is the burning of the heart. It is the unbridled running amuck of the emotions. It is the overwhelming desire to accomplish your goal. It transcends the mental assent to a set of ideals. It drives and thrusts you toward your goal. You MUST have it! Those who consider themselves intellectuals will underestimate the power of passion. The fact is that the victory isn’t only in the mind. The truths of the mind are driven by the passion of the heart. So by all means, fuel the passion for life that resides deep within your soul.
Passion is like a fire. It can rage or it can smolder. Even if all you have is barely lit embers, you can fan into flame the fire of your passion for life, love, and the goals and vision you have for your life! Commit yourself to becoming a person who lives passionately!
3. Become a person of Priorities…
As I have worked through the years with people who achieve much and have lives that are constantly in high gear, I notice something amazing about them: They are people with an extraordinary ability to know what the right thing to do is and to actually do it in a timely fashion.
For example, a friend of mine was in charge of a three-day event that was attended by close to 250,000 people and was featured on national and international television. Four days before the event he told me he had nothing to do and felt guilty. I encouraged him by reminding him that this was actually a sign of his incredible ability to have focused on and lived out his priorities throughout the whole year before the event took place.
When all was said and done, living and working out of his priorities enabled him to kick back and enjoy the fruit of his (and hundreds of his employees) labor. His life was in high gear and because he is a person of priorities, he is enjoying life. You can too.
Discern what the important things are that you must involve yourself in so as to have the life you want. Then relentlessly live out of those priorities. Say “no” to everything else!
4. Become a person of Excellence…
People who live life in high gear, succeeding in every area of life, are people who place a high emphasis on and strive for excellence in every area of life. Good just won’t do. The best is the target. Even when they fail or do poorly, they make an inner commitment to do an excellent job the next time. They are people who want, and live for, excellence in their work, their play, their finances, their relationships – everything!
Do you long for a life lived in high gear? One that is filled with joy and achievement? It is possible! Give some time to contemplate how you can make changes in the next few days and weeks in the following areas and see if your life doesn’t kick into high gear!
– Vision – Passion – Priorities – Excellence
Feel free to share and jot down notes that you resonate with in your journal. Make a list of how you plan to tackled your life ahead.

5 Essentials to Increase Your Gratitude – Appreciation
First off, thank you for stopping by!
In case you haven’t noticed, this is a blog post I created last month. I decided to bring it back to life because we tend to stress a lot during this winter season. Not just because of the dry weather and climate changes but we also stress during the holidays! Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, this time of the year impacts you in one way or another. So let’s get started with Appreciation!
A perfect way to prepare for all that the season brings is to remember
The Power of Appreciation!
Genuine appreciations can create an organizational culture in which appreciation and positive energy are the norms rather than the exceptions, a culture in which people feel valued for their work and help those around them to do the same.
Leading with appreciation creates a positive culture! Here are two points of our favorite ways of “living” our belief in a positive, appreciative culture. Some of them will seem challenging as you imagine going into the busiest season of year. So perhaps establish a systems that supports you to achieve your personal goals for the holidays and New Year.
Here are the 5 essentials that you can purchase and give yourself the time investment that you deserve:
5. 7-Piece Yoga Package Highly recommended as there are tons of benefits to yoga. Yoga builds core strength for your body and unifies your mind, body and soul.
Appreciate yourself An appreciative environment must be driven from within us. When you can appreciate yourself authentically, you will soon learn how to transfer that energy to appreciate others. Remember to self high 5 regularly!
Appreciate people around you who are being appreciative As a leader or manager, when you see one of your staff being appreciative and spreading positive energy, appreciate them for doing so. It’s an opportunity to lead by example and reinforce positive behaviors all at once!
Appreciate life Enjoying life itself is a huge part of your life and you are in charge of it! If you do invest in all of any of these items, please be sure to let me know via comment or email on how it has allowed you to become more appreciative.

How did you enjoy this read? Have you joined the tribe yet?
Ernest Hemingway: Up at 5:30 every morning to write even if he’d been drinking the night before. He wrote as a practice, not just when he felt inspired.
Benjamin Franklin: Sat naked every morning in fresh air for his “bath” which he swore fuelled his energy and creativity. He also listed 13 character traits he wanted to build and measured how he lived against each of them every night before he slept (in a journal).
Padmasree Warrior: (Chief Technology Officer at Cisco Systems): Regular “digital detoxes” where she unplugs from technology to reboot her brain and replenish her creative reserves.
Leonardo da Vinci: Slept via small naps throughout the day versus sleeping 8 hours straight. The famed inventor Thomas Edison reportedly did the same thing (as does Hip-Hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs).
Will Smith: recalled when he watched the movie Star Wars for the first time, he did not believe it was possible for a movie to move people that much. When he decided to be a world-class movie actor, he understood that he needs a desperate, obsessive focus to excel on the movies that he would appear in. He realized that it was difficult to achieve success if he was doing multiple things. In order to be successful, he believed he needs to focus with all of his heart, his creativity, and all of the fiber of his being.
Steve Jobs: Would fast for extended periods of time, recognizing that it created a sense of euphoria within him that motivated his dazzling output of ideas. He also loved carrots, eating so many during one period that his skin turned to a soft orange color.
Maya Angelou: Writes in a cheap and spartan hotel room she rents. She awakes at home around 5:30 each morning, has coffee with her husband and then shows up at the hotel room to do seriously productive work by 7 am. “It’s lonely and it’s marvellous” she says. Personally, I’ve done the most important work of my career in hotel rooms from Buenos Aires to Auckland. And on airplanes (the longer the flight the more I get done).
Ludwig Van Beethoven: Loved his coffee and measured out his beans with meticulous love and care: 60 beans per cup. Many elite performers use this drink as a productivity tool. But please do so in moderation: Balzac drank 50 cups a day. Sadly, he died from a heart attack at 51.
Mick Jagger: Exercises 6 days a week and includes ballet, pilates and yoga in his regimen. Sir Mick clearly gets that fitness rewires the brain to fight fear, reduces the stress response and multiplies stamina.
Stephen King: Writes every single day of the year and does not get up from the pursuit of his craft until his daily quota of two thousand words has been met.
Now ask yourself how what habits will allow you to highly achieve?
Only you can define it in your own life. In my own life, I have attempted to define both Success and Significance.
To me, Success is secular. Significance is spiritual.
It doesn’t matter how you define your own spirituality. Spiritual matters are always finer, deeper, and longer lasting than secular matters.
Success focuses on three Fs:
• Fans • Fame • Fortune
Success is focused on tasks, even goals.
Significance also focuses on three Fs:
• Faith • Family • Friends
But, significance focuses on purpose. Why am I here? What do I do with the talents, experiences and skills that I have? How can I make the worlda better place? How do I plant seeds of greatness in the lives of those around me? How do I make an impact in the circles of influence where I find or place myself?
To choose success and significance, you must be a strategic thinker who:
• Has a clear vision of what you want to accomplish • Develops a solid strategy that answers three questions:
– Who or what are we today? – Who do we want to become? – How do we get there?
• Employs practical systems to achieve your goals • Commits to consistent execution because in consistency, success emerges.
When implementing your strategic plan for success, it really comes down to three “Ds”:
Decide what you want most to achieve Determine the first step to getting what you want Do the first thing that will start you moving toward your goal.
Using these seven keys, you can choose success and significance. But keep this in mind: success is not a matter of luck, not an accident of birth, not a reward for virtue. The most successful people I know are the ones who have something to do, somewhere to be and someone to love.
No one is responsible for your success or your joy. You must search for it and be in a continual state of earning it.
To merely succeed is not an end in itself. You must use your success to impact other people…to impact the world…to Live Life from the Inside Out.
It all starts with the choices you make—they determine the person you will become.
