I am incredibly grateful for 2019, another year and of course your visit to my blog post!
Now, I was exposed to personal branding about 2 years ago because I thought it was a huge thing on Instagram with beauty gurus and influencers. I bought a virtual course on it and want to share 3 takeaways from that session.
What have you accomplished so far? What tangible things have you created for yourself that may be meaningful to others?
2. Understand The Problem You Solve to Your Market
This section is where you will ask the most tough questions because you are putting yourself in the very shoes of your ideal customer. You have to sit and map out the who, what, where is your ideal market questions. Think about how they would like for you to show up as someone they can invest in, in order to solve this specific issue.
Also know that this advice is not the kind that you must do years of trainings to complete. This can simply be a packaged product or service that others already come to you for.
You don’t have to know everything, you just have to be 3 or 4 steps ahead of your market to leave a positive impact in your customers journey.
3. Design Your Intention
The fun and exciting part!
How will you design the space to welcome your market? What kinds of colours do they like to see? Perhaps a little research on the meaning of colours would spark a theme idea!
Lastly, do not overthink your personal brand discovery. The point of personal branding is for your audience to see your growth. We all start somewhere and life is a journey that never gets “finished” for a lack of a better word.
I’ve blogged for 7 months now and have stumbled. Let’s stumble together, you will be so proud to have taken that leap despite your fears!

How can I learn more about Pinterest marketing for my business?
Today’s blog is bought to you by the amount of comments that I got from my original “Personal Accountability – 08.26.2019″ blog post. I had a whopping 119 comments!!
Proof is below, I think I’m very proud of you all for inquiry on this underrated topic.
I wanted to return to this because you want to hear more about believing in yourself and how that relates to your goals, correct?
Not only that but you want to get better with what you feel passionately about.
NOT only that, you want to achieve your the highest success and be recognized that you do a fairly good job, if not, the only one to do an excellent job in your niche – at what others think is soo difficult to do.
Well first, I would love to continue the sequence of the original post. It asks us toward the end of it, “4 Words: Which one best describes…. you?” And then “What are you known for?”
Fail fast and start over!
If you are currently reading this, I’m 99.9% sure you are known for your ability to achieve in an outstanding nature. Whether that be volunteering at a charity, committing to the gym or giving yourself more down time. To you, it is crucial that you do an outstanding job, otherwise what it the point of throwing in your time and effort?
I feel you on that!
It is exactly how I stay on top of my goals. Let’s be honest, I do get the once in a blue moon days where I stay at home and binge watch Youtube. But for the most part I was never into half assing anything that had my name on it.
This doesn’t mean that I am trial and error proof. I set up projects and tend to add more food than I can chew. And then of course I realize my choice of timing was not fair to me.
Greatness is in your blood
You are destined for greatness and I truly believe that. You can achieve anything you imagine which is the greatest gift of life. I do whatever it takes. Meaning if I have to connect with a thousand people in a room as an introvert, I will do it. If I have to give up girls night, won’t sweat it. If I have to give up a full 8 hour sleep and grab 4 hours, so be it.
What are you deeply passionate about? Are you currently fulfilled?
Success Lesson: Four Pointers for Kicking Your Life into High Gear
But first… A secret key to understanding success.
Secret Key: Success isn’t just doing certain things, though we will certainly do certain things to become a certain kind of person. What kind of person you are is what determines your success in life. Yes, you can do right things and achieve a certain level of success, but not the kind of success I am talking about – true life success.
So what are my four tips? Here the are:
1. Become a person of Vision…
Vision is what causes us to carry out the mundane. Vision is what sees us through the dark days so we do not give up and settle for second best. Vision is the grand scheme that we relentlessly pursue. Vision is the goal we aim for. The best way to kick your life into high gear and begin to succeed in what you want to succeed in is to begin to become a person of vision. The successful person has a fully developed vision of their destination. So let me ask you a simple question:
Do YOU know where you are going?
And not only do you have a vision of where you are going, but is your vision fully developed? Now certainly we cannot know everything that will happen to us in the future, but we can develop the plan fully, allowing in our plan for a variety of contingency plans. “But Chris, that is a lot of work.” It is, but when you look across the board at people who have succeeded much, they are people who laid out most of their life and work before it happened. Life didn’t just happen to them. They didn’t just stumble into success. They planned for it and they created it.
The Tests of Vision
– Is it Clear? – Is it Concise? – Is it Inspiring? – Is it Achievable? – Is it Easy to Memorize?
Ask your self the questions above and let the answers begin to shape the vision you have for your life. The tighter and clearer the vision you have for your life, the sooner you will kick your life into high gear!
2. Become a person of Passion…
Passion. Mmmmm…. Passion. Passion is the burning of the heart. It is the unbridled running amuck of the emotions. It is the overwhelming desire to accomplish your goal. It transcends the mental assent to a set of ideals. It drives and thrusts you toward your goal. You MUST have it! Those who consider themselves intellectuals will underestimate the power of passion. The fact is that the victory isn’t only in the mind. The truths of the mind are driven by the passion of the heart. So by all means, fuel the passion for life that resides deep within your soul.
Passion is like a fire. It can rage or it can smolder. Even if all you have is barely lit embers, you can fan into flame the fire of your passion for life, love, and the goals and vision you have for your life! Commit yourself to becoming a person who lives passionately!
3. Become a person of Priorities…
As I have worked through the years with people who achieve much and have lives that are constantly in high gear, I notice something amazing about them: They are people with an extraordinary ability to know what the right thing to do is and to actually do it in a timely fashion.
For example, a friend of mine was in charge of a three-day event that was attended by close to 250,000 people and was featured on national and international television. Four days before the event he told me he had nothing to do and felt guilty. I encouraged him by reminding him that this was actually a sign of his incredible ability to have focused on and lived out his priorities throughout the whole year before the event took place.
When all was said and done, living and working out of his priorities enabled him to kick back and enjoy the fruit of his (and hundreds of his employees) labor. His life was in high gear and because he is a person of priorities, he is enjoying life. You can too.
Discern what the important things are that you must involve yourself in so as to have the life you want. Then relentlessly live out of those priorities. Say “no” to everything else!
4. Become a person of Excellence…
People who live life in high gear, succeeding in every area of life, are people who place a high emphasis on and strive for excellence in every area of life. Good just won’t do. The best is the target. Even when they fail or do poorly, they make an inner commitment to do an excellent job the next time. They are people who want, and live for, excellence in their work, their play, their finances, their relationships – everything!
Do you long for a life lived in high gear? One that is filled with joy and achievement? It is possible! Give some time to contemplate how you can make changes in the next few days and weeks in the following areas and see if your life doesn’t kick into high gear!
– Vision – Passion – Priorities – Excellence
Feel free to share and jot down notes that you resonate with in your journal. Make a list of how you plan to tackled your life ahead.
Tuesday is ruled by the planet of action and energy, Mars and is a great day for getting things done.
If Monday is all about setting the emotional tone, Tuesday is all about putting that tone into action.
Tuesday is the perfect day to launch forward with projects, make decisions and get ahead, especially when it comes to your career. The energy of the day will also help you to start making progress in all areas of your life and is excellent for getting in tune with your passions.
In order to best use the energy of Tuesday, get clear about what you want and then go out there and make it happen. Mars energy gives us the drive and passion to follow through on our goals, dreams and desires.
5 Essentials to Increase Your Gratitude – Appreciation
First off, thank you for stopping by!
In case you haven’t noticed, this is a blog post I created last month. I decided to bring it back to life because we tend to stress a lot during this winter season. Not just because of the dry weather and climate changes but we also stress during the holidays! Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, this time of the year impacts you in one way or another. So let’s get started with Appreciation!
A perfect way to prepare for all that the season brings is to remember
The Power of Appreciation!
Genuine appreciations can create an organizational culture in which appreciation and positive energy are the norms rather than the exceptions, a culture in which people feel valued for their work and help those around them to do the same.
Leading with appreciation creates a positive culture! Here are two points of our favorite ways of “living” our belief in a positive, appreciative culture. Some of them will seem challenging as you imagine going into the busiest season of year. So perhaps establish a systems that supports you to achieve your personal goals for the holidays and New Year.
Here are the 5 essentials that you can purchase and give yourself the time investment that you deserve:
5. 7-Piece Yoga Package Highly recommended as there are tons of benefits to yoga. Yoga builds core strength for your body and unifies your mind, body and soul.
Appreciate yourself An appreciative environment must be driven from within us. When you can appreciate yourself authentically, you will soon learn how to transfer that energy to appreciate others. Remember to self high 5 regularly!
Appreciate people around you who are being appreciative As a leader or manager, when you see one of your staff being appreciative and spreading positive energy, appreciate them for doing so. It’s an opportunity to lead by example and reinforce positive behaviors all at once!
Appreciate life Enjoying life itself is a huge part of your life and you are in charge of it! If you do invest in all of any of these items, please be sure to let me know via comment or email on how it has allowed you to become more appreciative.

How did you enjoy this read? Have you joined the tribe yet?
For many first-time visitors, Hawaii is a place where perfect weather and pristine beaches make for good vacationing and pretty postcards. But Hawaii is much more than its idyllic setting. For native Hawaiians and those lucky enough to call the islands home, Hawaii is a way of life and a way of thinking. The native Hawaiian concepts of pono, aloha, aina, ohana and mana are crucial to understanding how Hawaii has consistently ranked as the least stressed and happiest state in America.
Apply these concepts to your own life and you may begin to understand what all the fuss is about.
Pono – generally translates to righteousness. According to actor Jason Scott Lee, who grew up in Hawaii, living pono means living “with a conscious decision to do the right thing in terms of self, others, and the environment.” The importance of pono, or doing what is morally right and selfless, is even found in the state’s mottos: “Ua Mau ke Ea o ka Aina i ka Pono,” or “The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness.”
Aloha – When you look up “aloha” in the Hawaiian dictionary, every warm and fuzzy word in the English language pops up: love, affection, compassion, mercy, sympathy, pity, kindness, sentiment, grace, charity. Aloha is most often used as a greeting or parting phrase to create an atmosphere of friendliness and love, but the aloha spirit is a part of everything in Hawaii: people surf with aloha, cook with aloha, and even write work emails with aloha. It’s as if people in Hawaii are constantly surrounded by an affirmation or mantra to live life with love.
Aina means land. Life in Hawaii is lived outdoors – malls, homes, offices, and even the airport are built with open-air walkways, large windows, or lanais (balconies or patios) so you’re never fully indoors. Native Hawaiians see their identities and well being entwined with the land, and so respecting it and living in it are of the utmost importance. You don’t have to live in a tropical paradise to be connected to nature. Simply having lunch outside or taking a stroll through a park can help reconnect you to the aina.
Ohana – as the movie Lilo & Stitch taught us, means family. The word comes from oha, which is the highly revered taro plant, and it signifies that all ohana come from the same root. Ohana is used to describe any group of people with a common bond; people in Hawaii have a community ohana, a friends ohana, even a work ohana. One of the clearest findings from happiness research is that humans are social creatures. Imagine how differently you would feel if you approached your work colleagues like they were your family.
Mana – translates to power, but the native Hawaiian concept of power doesn’t equate to material possessions or what floor your office is on. Mana is a life energy that flows through all things and is highly individual: you have a chance to gain or lose mana in everything you do.
Perhaps one of the best examples of mana can be seen in the late Hawaii Senator Daniel K. Inouye’s life and career. The beloved Inouye was often described as soft spoken, modest and a man of integrity. His mana led him to be the second longest-serving senator in U.S. history. His last word was “aloha.”
Feel free to comment below about a life concept we can live by!
On the best sunny day, the most powerful magnifying glass will not light paper if you keep moving the glass. But if you focus and hold it, the paper will light up. That is the power of concentration.
A man was traveling and stopped at an intersection. He asked an elderly man, “Where does this road take me?” The elderly person asked, “Where do you want to go?” The man replied, “I don’t know.” The elderly person said, “Then take any road. What difference does it make?”
How true. When we don’t know where we are going, any road will take us there.
Suppose you have all the football eleven players, enthusiastically ready to play the game, all charged up, and then someone took the goal post away. What would happen to the game? There is nothing left. How do you keep score? How do you know you have arrived?
Enthusiasm without direction is like wildfire and leads to frustration. Goals give a sense of direction. Would you sit in a train or a plane without knowing where it was going? The obvious answer is no. Then why do people go through life without having any goals?
What are the reasons you have goals? Have you added priority levels to them?
I believe the most important leadership role anyone has in this life is that of a parent.
As a parent your ultimate goal is to raise productive, self-sufficient adults, who go on to achieve and contribute more to the world than you do.
If you think about it, shouldn’t that be the goal of every business leader as well?
Ralph Nader said, “The function of leaders is to produce other leaders not just other followers.” And that is the essence of a true leader – is one who not only inspires followers but empowers them to go on to be great leaders.
So how do we do that? Well, let’s think about it from a parents perspective and there are three simple strategies that we think move us away from enabling and into the empowerment process.
#1. Allow For Collaboration in Decision Making As a parent you need to let your kids be part of making decisions so that they learn through experience the process as well as the positive and negative consequences of decisions. In the business world, our people need to be able to collaborate and participate in the decision making process, giving them a voice as well as the big picture mindset of all of the parameters to consider.
#2. Give Them Opportunities To Lead If we want our children to be leaders then we need to let them lead. That sounds simple and equally as applicable in the business world, yet it is hard to loosen the rains. Micromanaging and overseeing every project, initiative, etc… not only burdens you as the leader but it stifles the growth of your people. Let them lead and move into the role of mentor. (Someone who can analyze what worked, what didn’t and where they can improve)
#3. Challenge Them Leadership requires growth and the best way to stimulate growth is to challenge them. It is in the struggle that the stretching, learning and developing occurs. I am grateful for my parents for pushing me and I am grateful for business leaders who expected greatness from me and gave me the challenge to step up.
Leaders can learn a lot from great parents. I know without a doubt that the goal of every parent should be the goal of every leader – To Create More Leaders.

Ever had an activity you knew you were made to do but did not do it because of an exact of similar experience?
Have you thought about that experience and why you think it hinders you in the present moment?
Our minds work by connecting emotions with experiences. We are so brilliant in the choices we make. I think we all agree that there are experiences we have been through that we could not control. There is crucial importance in the experiences we can control. The ability to maximize our will power shall determine the impact we have on others and the quality of life we live as individuals.
Once we categorize a good experience, the “feel good” hormone – endorphins are released in our brains and we want to experience that good experience again. Once we experience bad experiences, our brains release a stress “fight or flight” hormone – adrenaline.
For example, imagine you have a biology class presentation. You are prepared for it but you start of the presentation with a lot of sweating and a lot of mumbles. You are sure to bomb the next 5 minutes and instead of sharing to your professor that you have anxiety speaking in front of people, you immediately run off after completion to save yourself the anguish.
If you’ve had similar experiences, that it okay. Chances are you will have more of those experiences. But what if you were about to transform that energy into a hormone less “flight or fight”. Perhaps you would still be anxious and sweaty in your palms because you are convinced you are in danger. The information you tell yourself is the way you can process a different feeling to an entire experience. If you are a true bad ass at this, you will channel the same feeling you get presenting a public speech with a walk on the beach. Imagine yourself being that sure and unstoppable! How amazing would that be?
