How to Stay Insanely Self-Motivated
by Elle Kaplan
At some point in your life you have not felt motivated to accomplish your goals. Why do you think this is?
You have the talent and ability to be whoever you want to be in this world. Let’s begin to brainstorm the points that may be affecting your current state of motivation.
Be Specific: Are you being specific with the goal you are working to achieve? What are the best ways to measure your progress? Will you write for instance, “I will workout at the gym every morning from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.” This goal is specific and the way to measure progress can be done by a series of checklists and alarm clocks.
Be realistic: Are you being practical with your goals? Make a commit to create the goals that can be achieved with ease. You are at your best when you feel empowered to achieve your goal because you are not discouraged by how far-fetched your goal is.
Take ownership: When you take ownership for getting the task done. Taking responsibility for your actions will encourage you to say no to activities that no longer serve your goal.
Celebrate your wins: Pat yourself on the back for the small goals you have achieved, whether that be complete your to-do list or drinking a substantially increasing your water intake. Celebrate!
Take action: Do not stay under the untruthful believe that something wonderful is going to fall into your lap with you putting the work in to get it. Action your goals and dreams into reality by waking up into actioning, every morning.
